During its initial construction, the venue had no design identity. The architects used the canopy of the SoFi Stadium and the design of the theater’s canopy to inspire the design.
There are three main types of seats. First, there is the floor seating. These seats are usually divided into 12 rows of padded folding chairs. A general admission standing area is also available.
Secondly, there are the club seats. Club seats are generally available through meet and greet tickets. These are convenient and safe ways to experience the event.

Cincinnati lifted general admission seating ban after The Who tragedy
In 1979, eleven people died in a stampede at a rock concert in Cincinnati. It was a tragic event that led to a ban on general admission seating for concerts. Several months later, the ban was lifted. However, many still wonder what exactly happened during the stampede.
The Who were performing at the Riverfront Coliseum on December 3, 1979. Thousands of fans arrived early to hear the band’s soundcheck. Some were excited, while others were frustrated. During the soundcheck, the crowd grew restless. They tried to leave the building, but the building’s doors were not open yet. Others were looking for a place to escape the cold weather.
The police were unable to stop the crowd from moving through the building. Approximately 8,000 fans gathered outside the venue and tried to secure a spot to watch the show. Many were injured, some fatally. Eventually, 11 people were asphyxiated.
Police were not able to enter the crowd until about thirty minutes after the concert started. At that point, police had only been able to reach about a third of the people inside. As the police began working their way through the crowd, a stampede occurred. By 7:45 p.m., more than 8,000 fans had accumulated outside the building.
Although the police were unable to stop the crowd from rushing into the building, they were able to prevent the majority of concertgoers from entering. After the concert, the city’s safety director, Richard Castellini, decided against cancelling the show. He said that he feared a riot.
The Who performed the next night in Buffalo. Pete Townshend, guitarist and secondary lead singer, has expressed regret over not staying in Cincinnati after the 1979 show. Nevertheless, he plans to return in 2022.
After the tragedy, 33 lawsuits were filed against the city of Cincinnati, the promoter, and the musicians. Most of the lawsuits claimed that negligence was involved. This caused the city to pay out over $100 million.
Since the incident, the city of Cincinnati has made significant changes in the industry. Concert promoters anticipate higher insurance rates and tighter security requirements. However, the incident shows that there are still a number of things that need to be addressed before the industry can truly become safer.
